What we wear
In a society rewarding conformity, being a weirdo and not fitting in is not that easy. But in my experience, what is exhausting is trying to hide it.
I make clothes for weirdos like me who are not afraid to dress loud and take visual space. Every piece I make is something that I would wear or that I have worn. But as I can´t keep them all I sell them so they find new homes who will cherish them.
Uniqueness feels good and empowering. That´s why I´m mainly using pre loved children bed sheets and vintage grandma nightgowns for my creations. They bring their own stories with them so the next generation can carry them in the future.
I am learning how to sew by myself, with video tutorials and patterns I modify to fit my taste. So far it is harder than learning tattooing, I make a lot of mistakes and don´t always understand what I´m doing. But it brings me joy. So I keep going. And I keep learning.
